Hydrotrans Engineering has developed a large-scale project to increase the port's capacity to 260,000 TEU. The primary objective is the dredging of the navigation channel to ensure the safe passage of large-tonnage vessels.
The project covers 198.8 hectares, supported by bathymetric surveys across 2,486 hectares.
Length: 8,465 meters.
Width: 160 meters on straight sections, expanding to 212 meters at bends.
Depth: Target dredging level is set at -8.80 m.
Traffic: Designed for efficient two-way vessel traffic.
The master plan incorporates the expansion of onshore facilities to streamline cargo flow:
Cargo Terminal: Extensive open-air warehouses and specialized container handling zones.
TIR Parking: Facilities with a total capacity for 487 heavy-duty trucks (import, export, and general zones).
Service Area: Equipped with weighbridges, cargo scanners, maintenance workshops, and truck washes.
Ferry Infrastructure: Direct integration with two dedicated export ferry lines.
