The Republic of Kazakhstan is the largest country in Central Asia. This country is remote by more than 5000 km from Western Europe and from the countries of Southeast Asia, apart from China. The provision of cargo transportation (except for gas and oil, which are transported, usually, through pipelines) for both international and local cargo, the Republic of Kazakhstan is more dependent on the land transport (road and rail).

The road "Border of the Russian Federation (to Samara) - Shymkent" is of the republican subordinance and is part of the "Western Europe – Western China" international transit corridor.As part of this project, carried out the engineering of the road with cement concrete pavement with the length of 30 km. This included engineering of 4 bridges with a total length of 520.154 m and 6 overpasses with total length of 424.736 m.
