The seaport in Turkan settlement is an important port for the seashore defense.

For the vessels’ and port’s water area protection from the waves, there was built two breakwaters, Western and Eastern. Breakwaters consist of trestle-type structure. Their internal side serves for the large vessels’ final approach. The berths are designed for up to 2 tons/sq. meter vertical cargo. The berth construction area is located at the Absheron peninsula’s Southern shore, in 4km from Turkan settlement in the Western direction. The stone dam is being built at the 300m distance from the shore towards the sea and 200m to the shore. The water area of the berth covers 480m of the poured territory to the highway.
